Roadside Station “Yamada” Oista

A roadside station that relocated and reopened in July 2023 near the Sanriku Coastal Road Yamada IC. The nickname "Oisuta" is a combination of oysters, a specialty of Yamada Town, and the meaning of "come on." Inside the facility, there is also a tourist information center and a restaurant where you can enjoy local specialties from Yamada Town, oysters and other seafood. In addition, there is a large parking lot and a playground for children on the premises, making it the perfect place to take a break from driving around Sanriku.

Farm Direct Plaza Fureai Park Yamada

"Fureai Park Yamada" is a facility along National Route 45 in Yamada Town, located in the central part of the Sanriku Coast in Iwate Prefecture, Tohoku. We sell specialty products such as Yamada rice crackers, and in season we have a wide selection of mountain and seafood products such as matsutake mushrooms, salmon, and scallops. At the restaurant, ``Sanrikuiso Ramen'' and ``Yamada Oyster Ramen'' are popular. Please stop by for a meal, restroom break, Sanriku specialty products, tourist information, etc.

Yamada Senbei

Yamada raw rice crackers are characterized by their soft texture, and the more you chew, the more the sweetness and sesame flavor spreads in your mouth. Unlike regular senbei, this is a raw type senbei with a thin batter that does not require any baking process. It can be eaten grilled, fried, or even raw.
