Gotensaki Natural Recreation Forest

There is a promenade along the coastline through a rare virgin forest of broad-leaved trees, and you can enjoy forest bathing while listening to the sound of the ocean.

Kumanohana Observatory

It got its name because the peninsula opposite the observation deck resembles the head and snout of a bear. You can see three cliff capes lined up with pine forests.

Moshi coast and dinosaur fossils

Moshi Beach continues to the south of Omoto Beach. Highlights include Matsushima, known as Fossil Island, and Namikogamai, a sea shelf resembling a washboard. This area was famous for producing shellfish fossils from 100 million years ago, such as ammoites, but it became a hot topic in 1978 when the fossil of Japan's first large herbivorous dinosaur was discovered. It is named ``Moshiryu'' after the place name.
