Originating from Mt. Goyo, the upstream area is home to sweetfish and yamame trout, while the downstream area is home to many dace and gobies. In spring, you can eat live whitefish, sweetfish fishing opens in July, and salmon fishing begins in October.
Mountain streams and rough waters are suitable for the growth of sweetfish, and the best fishing methods are the Kesen River's unique korogashi, blackfish, and tomo fishing, with the peak season being from August to September.
