Kumagaya Art Museum

This small Kumagaya Art Museum is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth (born 1901) and 33rd anniversary (1968) of the death of my uncle, the late painter Tokuhei Kumagai (former member of the Independent Art Association), who was originally from our town and our family. , was opened in the hope that Senmaya Town and the local community could see a part of it, and contribute to the promotion of local arts and culture as part of the town's revitalization efforts. There are not that many works, but please take your time to look at them.

Ichinoseki City Museum

Located approximately 0.4km from Genbikei, the spacious entrance hall on the first floor can accommodate events sponsored by the museum. In the exhibition room on the second floor, there is an underfloor display of the Genbikei ruins, a comprehensive history display from the lives of the Jomon and Yayoi people in the Ichinoseki region to the present day, where they struggled to recover from repeated floods, as well as ``Maiso Swords and Swords'' and ``Gentaku''. There are four themed exhibits: "Fumihiko and Kai," "Ichinoseki and Wasan," and you can also enjoy videos and computer games.

Ashi Higashiyama Memorial Museum

A museum about Ashitozan, who wrote the ``Mukokuroku,'' which is said to be the origin of modern Japanese criminal law. You can trace Higashiyama's life and achievements according to themes in chronological order, such as the ``Age of Learning,'' ``The Sendai/Edo Government Service Period,'' ``The Era of Living in Residence,'' ``The Austere Period,'' and ``People Who Admired Higashiyama.'' In addition to exhibiting the original (replica) of his book ``Wugunroku'' and the Senate version, there are many other materials on display, including the collection of posthumous manuscripts ``Guyi Qi's Posthumous Manuscripts,'' ``Shanghai'', official documents, and diaries.
