Tonouma no Sato

The Tono region was once prosperous as the ``Nanbu Koma production area'', and in recent years has become one of the prefecture's leading producers of agricultural horses and riding horses. Furthermore, Tono Uma no Sato, which has been developed with the aim of regional revitalization centered on horses, offers horseback riding and other petting activities, as well as breeding and training of racehorses and riding horses (up to 160 horses), and breeding of riding horses and agricultural horses. We are also making improvements. There is also a clubhouse where you can rest and stay overnight, and there is also an 810m trail course in addition to Kakubaba.

Kappafuchi

Kappa-buchi, located behind Joken-ji Temple, has clear water flowing through it and is covered with thick bushes, making it look like a kappa will appear at any moment. On the shore of the abyss, there is a small shrine dedicated to the god Kappa, and it is said that if a woman with a child makes a wish for breast milk, her wish will come true. When making a wish, it is customary to make the shape of a breast out of red cloth and place it in this shrine.

Arakawa Plateau and Arakawa Valley

It is a 2,500 hectare plateau connected to Mt. Yakushi, south of Mt. Hayachine, and is used as grazing land. You can see clusters of hydrangeas and rhododendrons. The Arakawa Valley flows at the foot of a plateau and is home to many river fish. It is also a climbing course from the Tono side of Mt. Hayachine.
