It is currently located in front of Hanamaki City Hall, but during the feudal period it was located on the Ninomaru site of Hanamaki Castle (the square mountain area of ​​Hanamaki Elementary School). In September 1646, Shigenao, the 28th head of Nanbu, moved the Morioka Castle bell tower to Hanamaki Castle. Additionally, the current bell tower was newly built in August 1978.

Korinji Temple

A Jishu temple founded in 1280. It is said that it was founded by Michitsugu, the eldest son of Michishige Kono, the lord of Terabayashi Castle, who later became a devotee of Ippen Shonin, the founder of Jishu Buddhism, and with his cooperation established the Nenbutsu dojo. Many important documents are stored in the treasury. In the beautiful garden, a huge oak tree stands out.

Nishimikado

In the past, the west gate, which can be called the main gate of Hanamaki Castle's main enclosure, served as a preparation for the main enclosure and as an entrance for the feudal lord and others. Hanamaki Castle was unable to build a castle tower, so old pictures depict the west gate as the castle tower, and the structure is reminiscent of a tower building. The project was started in 1992 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Hanamaki Town, and was completed in 1994.

Hu Siwang Mountain

Since Kenji Miyazawa wrote in his notebook that this mountain is ``the mountain where you should bury your sutras,'' the Kenji Memorial Hall and Ihatov Hall were built on the same site, which is one of the mountains with which Kenji has the deepest connection. Kenji wrote a poem about Hu Shiwang, and also mentioned Mt. Hu Shiwang in his unfinished literary poem ``The Hill.''
