When you cross Uenohashi from Honmachi Street, you will see a magnificent black stucco storehouse-style house on the left. Built after the Great Morioka Fire of the Meiji era, this is a clay storehouse-style building that was built by skilled craftsmen with a lot of time and effort. The expressive windows and roof give a rich impression, retaining the vestiges of a wealthy kimono wholesaler. The storehouse in the back is the gallery ``Saisono'' and the coffee shop ``Issaryo.''
