``Kitayamazaki'', which has large cliffs approximately 200m high that extend for approximately 8km, boasts the most impressive coastal beauty among all the coastal scenery in Japan, and was ranked in the coastal category of the tourism resource evaluation conducted by the Japan Transport Corporation. It is Japan's most beautiful coastline, both in name and in reality, and is the only one in Japan that has been certified as the highest rated "Special A grade."
