This building was used as a library during his time at Morioka High School of Agriculture and Forestry, and is also the site where Kenji Miyazawa absorbed knowledge such as biology, mineralogy, literature, and art while attending the school. Here, we will introduce research achievements that have contributed to the region, such as livestock disease water use and environmental measures (Faculty of Engineering) that the university has been working on over the past 100 years, as well as archaeological materials related to the Jomon period, Isawa Castle, Tokutan Castle, Shiba Castle, etc. Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Education), etc. are on display and open to the public (permanent exhibition room). In addition, the special exhibition room displays valuable materials owned by the university for a limited time.
