Shiroyama Park is a small hill located almost in the center of the town, and is said to be the site of Kosuiji Castle, the residence of the Shiba clan, built during the medieval period, and is a ruin of great historical value. In spring, the park is decorated with approximately 2,000 cherry blossom trees, and when viewed from a distance, the entire hill appears to be cherry blossom-colored. It is crowded with many visitors during the cherry blossom viewing season. You can walk or jog freely, or enjoy camping at the campsite. And the night view is also amazing. There is a monument to Kodo Nomura, the author of “Zenigata Heiji.”
