Kurosaki Observatory

It is a scenic spot that represents Fudai. From the observation deck on top of the Kurosaki cliff, You can enjoy magnificent views of Fudaihama, the coastline of Noda Village and Kuji City, and the Pacific Ocean. Osawa Bridge

This is the spot where the Sanriku Railway crosses a railway bridge with the Pacific Ocean in the background. This is a 30 meter high railway bridge located south of Horiuchi Station on the Sanriku Railway. It is said to be one of the most famous sights along the Sanriku Railway, and it stops for about a minute on the bridge to offer tourists an ocean view. Fudai Sluice Gate

It is a water gate with a height of 15.5m and a total length of 205m that reaches the mouth of the Fudai River. This is one of the largest flood gates in the Tohoku region, assuming a 15-meter Meiji tsunami, and it stopped the tsunami that occurred in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake from flooding into the center of the village. The water gate was completed in 1984 at a total construction cost of 3.56 billion yen. Nearby is a monument honoring Yukitoshi Kazumura, the village chief at the time, who was instrumental in this project, with the inscription ``What happened twice must not happen a third time.'' It is also certified as a geosite of Sanriku Geopark.
