    The Ashiro district of Hachimantai City has played an important role as a transportation hub to Akita and Tsugaru since ancient times, and has developed a unique culture. We will introduce the history and culture of the Ashiro area as well as learn about the activities of our ancestors who lived in the area. There are many interesting materials such as items related to the 15th Great Priest Kojun of Higashieizan Kan'eiji Temple Gokokuin who was from the former Ashiro Town, the ``Tayama Calendar'' which is a rare picture book even in Japan, old agricultural tools, lacquerware, Jomon relics, etc. On display.
