Shunsuke Matsumoto

Morioka City

Central Iwate

Born in Shibuya, Tokyo. He moved to Hanamaki when he was a toddler, moved to Morioka when he was 10, and lived in Iwate Prefecture until he was 17. He was devoted to Modigliani. In 1930, ``Buildings'' was selected for the Nika Exhibition for the first time, and in 1945, ``City'' received a special award. Although he actively held exhibitions during the war, even though there were no venues for his presentation, the war ended in a weakened state, and the ``painter of color and line'' passed away at the young age of 36.
