Yakehashiri no Yu

A day-trip hot spring facility located in Iwateyama Yakehashiri International Exchange Village. The bathroom building has Japanese-style and Western-style bathrooms, and the walls of the Japanese-style bathroom are lined with chunks of real lava. You can see Mt. Iwate from the fan-shaped bathroom. In addition to a cafeteria, shop, and rest room, there is also an indoor event hall called ``Yakehashiri Hall'' with seating for 300 spectators.

Fudo Falls

The famous three-tiered waterfall, Fudo Falls, is counted as one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls, and has also been certified as one of Iwate's 20 best waters. The sight of the 15m high waterfall cascading vertically, shaking the quiet air around it, is a sight to behold. This Fudo Falls is said to have been a dojo for ascetics, and the quiet area of ​​the forest still has that atmosphere, and a stone carving of Fudo Myoo is enshrined in the middle of the waterfall.

Hachimantai Aspite Line

Aspite" is the name given to a volcano shaped like a shield lying face down. The 27-km driveway spans both Iwate and Akita prefectures and crosses the Hachimantai Mountains. The Hachimantai Aspite Line, which will be closed to winter traffic in mid-April, is a "snow corridor" with several meters of snow still remaining on both sides of the road. The snow corridor will be open to traffic from mid-April to November. The line is open to traffic from mid-April to early November.
