Kenji Miyazawa Fairy Tale Village

A facility where you can experience a dream-filled world based on Kenji Miyazawa's fairy tales. ``Kenji's School,'' an experience facility with five zones depicting the world envisioned by Kenji, and ``Kenji's Classroom,'' a log house exhibition facility, feature exhibits related to Kenji's fairy tales, as well as Kenji's works and Hanamaki specialties. There are also stores with a wide variety of items.

Narushima Washi Crafts Museum

The Narushima Washi Crafts Museum is a production base for Narushima Washi, the northernmost Japanese paper in Japan, and a facility for experiencing paper making. Everything about Narushima Washi is concentrated in the museum, and you can experience the culture of Washi that has been handed down since ancient times in Japan. Additionally, during the winter when paper making is in full swing, you can also observe the paper making process. There is a taxi office in front of the station

Nishimikado

In the past, the west gate, which can be called the main gate of Hanamaki Castle's main enclosure, served as a preparation for the main enclosure and as an entrance for the feudal lord and others. Hanamaki Castle was unable to build a castle tower, so old pictures depict the west gate as the castle tower, and the structure is reminiscent of a tower building. The project was started in 1992 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Hanamaki Town, and was completed in 1994.
