When it blooms, the area is filled with its refreshing scent and a carpet of purple spreads out.
It may not be well known even locally, but the city hosts the Goishikaigan Lavender Picking Party every year.
Participation is free, and the event is said to be an opportunity to heal your daily fatigue by experiencing the refreshing scent.
