    Sanriku Railway's unexplored station, also known as the best in Tohoku. It is tucked between tunnels, with only one forest road in front of the station, and is far from any villages. The station is nicknamed "Aroma of Sea Urchin. It was named after the Shirai area, which is famous for its sea urchins. It is said that the scene in the final episode of the drama "Amachan" in which the main characters run through the tunnel was filmed in the third Shirai tunnel
    adjacent to the north side (downhill side) of the station.

    Roadside station “Aonokuni Fudai”

    "Roadside Station Aonokuni Fudai" is the 35th in Iwate Prefecture. It is attached to Fudai Station on the Sanriku Railway, and is easily accessible from the Fudai IC on the Sanriku Coastal Road. There are products made with konbu, a specialty of Fudai Village.

    Kenji Miyazawa Poetry Monument (Kurosaki Observation Deck)

    Two monuments to Kenji Miyazawa have been erected in Fudai Village. The monument "Kogan Kisen Boat No. 1" is located at Kurosaki Observatory. The poem was erected in 2015 at a location overlooking Nedari Beach, based on the theory that Nedari Beach is the setting for this work.

    Kurosakienchi

    Kurosaki is a 150 to 200 meter high cliff that plunges almost perpendicularly into the Pacific Ocean. At the tip of the cape is the Kurosaki Lighthouse, which was selected as one of Japan's top 50 lighthouses in 1998 and one of the ``Lighthouses in Love'' in 2019. The surrounding area includes the symbolic tower at 40 degrees north latitude, the Carillon Bell, the Kurosaki-so National Lodge, and the Kurosaki Observation Deck, and the view of the sunrise from here is breathtakingly beautiful.
