Suwa Shrine

Suwa Shrine is located on a hill overlooking Kuji Port. It is said that Shigetada Hatakeyama, who was ordered to subjugate Yoshitsune, felt pity for Yoshitsune as he tried to escape, so he purposely removed the arrow and stuck it into the trunk of a pine tree in the shrine grounds. Roadside station “Shirakaba no Sato Yamagata”

A roadside station located along National Route 281, approximately halfway between Kuzumaki Town and Kuji City. The specialty products corner sells locally produced fresh vegetables and grains, as well as crafts. You can also try the local gourmet "Mamebu" at "Yamagata" inside the roadside station.
