Sansaikan Fujisei

Higamori Forest Park

Located at the headwaters of the Senmaya River at the foot of Mt. Murone, the forest park is characterized by its view of the reservoir full of clear water and Senmaya below. The source of the Senmaya River, which flows into the reservoir, is water that springs from underground at Mt. Murone, and is reputed to be rich in minerals and delicious. Many people go out of their way to fetch water because of its delicious taste.

Surisawa Hachiman Shrine

According to the outline of Hachiman Shrine, it was built in May of the 17th year of Kan'ei era, rebuilt in August of the 3rd year of the Jokyo era, and rebuilt in August of the 13th year of the Kyoho era, and is an outstanding structure with excellent design. In addition, the ``Hachiman Shrine Monument'' in the precincts states that Minamoto no Yoriyoshi, who had a difficult time in the War of the Nine Years, prayed for Hachiman Shrine in Yamashiro and was victorious in battle, so the shrine was built and enshrined here. The main hall is a cultural property designated by the prefecture, and houses the town-designated cultural properties, such as the Warabite sword and the armor of Surisawa Hachiman Shrine.

Yamabuki Rice Terraces

Yamabuki Rice Terraces, located at the foot of a mountain in the Ohara Yamabuki district of Daito-cho, Ichinoseki City, at an altitude of about 400 meters, has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 rice terraces. In spring, the yellow flowers of Yamabuki are in full bloom everywhere.
