My Recommendations for Local Attractions and Must-See Local Tourism Information

Shiwa Town is located almost in the center of the prefecture, and is surrounded by the Kitakami Mountains and Ou Mountains, and is a town rich in nature. The Kitakami River basin is a vast land that produces a rich variety of agricultural products, especially the glutinous rice that is said to be the best in Japan, and processed products and mochi can be purchased at any time at Kohiru House. Also, historically, it has a deep relationship with Hiraizumi and there are many historical sites. Shiroyama, which is located almost in the center of the town, is a popular place for the townspeople to spend time together, and during the spring cherry blossom festival, Sha-Beru provides tours throughout Shiroyama.

Affiliated Organizations, Introduction of Organizations

Shiwa Town tourism volunteer Sha-Beru mainly works to provide general information about Shiwa Town, and also goes to local community centers, gatherings of the elderly, children’s parties, etc. as a narrator of folk tales.
We provide information about the town, tell old stories, and perform picture-story shows.
