Hiraizumi Rest House

A resting place in front of the gate of Chusonji Temple in Hiraizumi. The restaurant on the second floor, "Restaurant Gen," is certified as an Iwate local production and local consumption restaurant. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy locally sourced menus such as mochi dishes and Maesawa beef menus while looking out over Chusonji Tsukimizaka. The restaurant on the 1st floor, "Food Court Mon," is a family-friendly restaurant that offers a variety of menus, including ramen restaurant set meals, with a focus on the local cuisine and Hiraizumi specialty, "Benkei Chikaramochi Set (5 mochi dishes)." There is also a large shopping corner stocked with many souvenirs from Iwate and Tohoku, a group restaurant that can accommodate up to 1,200 people, and a large parking lot that can accommodate 100 cars and 30 large buses. Within the facility is the Hiraizumi Cultural History Museum, which introduces Hiraizumi culture.
