The sweet and heartbreaking "Kitakami Yokyoku" was born in 1944. It continued to be sung quietly throughout the chaotic period during and after the war, and became an explosive hit in 1961. This monument is handwritten by the lyricist and composer, and it is said that it is rare to find a monument with musical notation engraved on it. It is built on the river bank near the rest house.

Toneyama Mitsuto Memorial Museum of Art

In his later years, the painter Mitsuto Toneyama moved his atelier to Kitakami, where he created works full of the dynamism of Onikenbu and Deer Dance. After his death, the atelier donated by his wife remained at the exhibition site as the ``Toneyama Mitsuto Memorial Museum.'' A number of emotional works will move you.

the campus – Troika Forest

An outdoor complex located in a vast 15-hectare forest straddling Kitakami and Oshu cities. In addition to camping, we have also completed a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes made with local ingredients and an accommodation building where you can enjoy a sauna, so you can easily enjoy nature. In November 2023, the course was recognized as a certified " Quaalto Health Walking " course, which originated in Germany.

Kabayama Ruins (Kabayama Historical Plaza)

It is the remains of a Jomon period village where the remains of approximately 30 stone structures were discovered during excavations in 1951. The cave dwelling has been restored and is now on display outdoors.
