When waves crash onto the coast north of Jodogahama, between the Hidejima area and Kokuminkyukamura, seawater sprays out in the form of mist from a 65cm wide gap in the rocks. This is a squirting hole. It was designated as a national natural monument in September 1939. This hole opens up and down (to the bottom of the ocean), and the pressure of the surging seawater causes the seawater to blow up in the form of mist from the hole at the top.When the sea is rough, the height of the tide can reach up to 30 meters. .

Yakushigawa mountain stream

Many yamame trout and char live in the mountain stream, which stretches for about 10km from its confluence with the Oguni River. Approximately 10km up from the confluence, there are Taimagura Campsite, Bungalow Village, and Hayachine Mountain Villa, making it a base camp for fishing fans. Furthermore, 10km further on is the Odakoshi Pass, which is 1,200m above sea level and serves as the starting point for Mt. Hayachine (1,917m above sea level).

Hidejima

The island has a circumference of 1,800m, a highest point of 50m, and an area of 12,395 square meters. It was designated as a national natural monument in 1933 as a breeding ground for the black-throated petrel. Landing on the island is prohibited, so the tour will be from the Miyako Jodogahama Pleasure Boat.

The apples grown in the Niisato area are full of sweet honey and are called ``leafless apples''. This apple is unique to Niisato, where it snows late, and its sugar content is about 3 degrees higher than regular apples.
