Kirara Muroneyama Observatory

Kirara Muroneyama Observatory is an astronomical observatory located on the south side of the summit of Mt. Murone. Equipped with a 50cm diameter reflecting telescope called ``Canopus'' and a 15cm diameter refracting telescope, you can see the sun during the day and many stars and nebulae at night. In addition, planetary models and astronomical photographs are displayed in the training room, which attracts many astronomical enthusiasts and their families.

Kumagaya Art Museum

This small Kumagaya Art Museum is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth (born 1901) and 33rd anniversary (1968) of the death of my uncle, the late painter Tokuhei Kumagai (former member of the Independent Art Association), who was originally from our town and our family. , was opened in the hope that Senmaya Town and the local community could see a part of it, and contribute to the promotion of local arts and culture as part of the town's revitalization efforts. There are not that many works, but please take your time to look at them.

Okago Christian Martyrdom Park

At the beginning of the Edo period, more than 300 Christians were martyred in the Okago area of ​​Fujisawa-cho, Ichinoseki City, also known as the Shimabara of Tohoku. The Martyrdom Park was created to convey to the present the noble history of martyrdom of Okago's predecessors, who persevered in their faith despite any persecution. The Cruz Hall in the park displays sculptures by sculptor Yasutake Funakoshi, and the historical museum recreates the appearance of the time with martyrdom dioramas and other displays.
