Gongen Falls

Iwate Prefectural Fisheries Science Museum

Located near Jodogahama Beach, it opened in 1986 as the nation's first science museum specializing in fisheries. Materials on fish and shellfish such as salmon and abalone and aquaculture techniques are on display.

Kushoji Temple

It is said that Yoshisato Minamoto, a member of the Genji clan, had his residence in Tashiro, and that Yoshitsune and his servants, who had escaped from Hiraizumi, stopped by on their way north. There is a waniguchi dedicated by Yoshisato's wife, Genji Okoma.

Settai Station Direct Sales Office

Direct sales stands in front of Settai Station and on the side of the national highway in Mizusawa. On holidays, it is crowded with many people who stop by from inside and outside the town. Operated through the initiative of the town's residents, the shop sells home-grown vegetables, handmade sweets, seasonal wild vegetables, mushrooms, and fresh flowers. A direct sales shop where you can interact with locals and get freshly caught produce
