    Gobansho (checkpoints) were once located in Nishiwaga Town (formerly Yuda Town) and Yokote City, Akita Prefecture (formerly Yamauchi Village), and the approximately 6km old road between them was called the Shiraki Pass Road. It is also written in old books that Sadato Abe passed away during the post of Go Sannen, and there is a memorial tower for those who lost their lives due to snow damage during the feudal period. It is now a hiking course, and clusters of camellias and skunk cabbage can be seen around the promenade.

    Roadside station “Kinshuko”

    Roadside Station Kinshuko is located approximately halfway between Kitakami City and Yokote City, and is the gateway to Nishiwaga Town. You can enjoy local flavors at restaurants and shops. "Yuda Dam Curry," which is modeled after Yuda Dam, is a particularly popular dish that expresses the colors of the season. There is a park where you can see Lake Kinshu.

    Lake Kinshu

    An artificial lake formed by Yuda Dam, a gravity arch dam with a bank height of 89.5m built on the Waga River. It is a spot that matches nature all year round, with snowmelt water flowing in and the area becoming rich in fresh greenery in spring, and the beauty of autumn leaves along the lakeside.
