During the fall foliage season, the prefectural road leading to the secret hot spring, Natsuyu Onsen, is bustling with activity. After viewing the autumn leaves, it is fun to soothe your fatigue in the open-air bath along the mountain stream.

Toneyama Mitsuto Memorial Museum of Art

In his later years, the painter Mitsuto Toneyama moved his atelier to Kitakami, where he created works full of the dynamism of Onikenbu and Deer Dance. After his death, the atelier donated by his wife remained at the exhibition site as the ``Toneyama Mitsuto Memorial Museum.'' A number of emotional works will move you.

Oni’s mansion

This is a themed museum that was established as a place to collect, research, and learn about various things related to demons. In Iwasaki, the birthplace of Oni Kenbu, we collect and display materials related to Oni, such as biographies, picture scrolls, and masks that have been passed down throughout Japan since ancient times. It brings to light the multifaceted existence of demons who have lived in the darkness, and asks us once again what demons are.
