Soba no Takumikan

Osanai mountain stream

A valley located upstream of the Osanai River. It is attractive for its vibrant colors throughout the four seasons, with the fresh greenery in spring and the autumn leaves creating a stunning contrast with the white rock surface. Downstream is a dam with a height of 70m and a length of 187m, offering views of the city, Kuji Bay, and the Pacific Ocean.

Hiraniwa Sanso

An accommodation facility that is the core of sightseeing in Hiraniwa Kogen, which has the largest white birch forest in Japan. Every year, many tourists from all over the country visit Hiraniwa Kogen, where you can experience nature with its vast beech forest, ski resort, park golf, and trekking. The facility also has a cypress bath, a small room where you can relax around an irori hearth, and a conference room, making it convenient for business or group study trips. Kuji Stream

A tourist spot rich in nature that has been designated as Kuji Hiraniwa Prefectural Natural Park. The fresh greenery in the spring and the autumn leaves in the fall are both spectacular and a place for people to relax. Near Kagami-iwa is the famous water ``Furōsen'', which has been selected as one of Iwate's top 20 waters, and there is a legend that drinking it will cure chronic diseases and lead to eternal youth and longevity.
