The largest fireworks festival in the Morioka area is held on the Kitakami River downstream of the Minami Ohashi Bridge in the city. Fireworks masters from all over the country compete, and thousands of fireworks of various sizes, including continuous fireworks and rigged fireworks, dance in the night sky.
