Kahoku Shimpo Kinshu Lake Marathon

The Kinshuko Marathon, which started in 1981, is held on the official 30 km course along the shore of Kinshuko on the last Sunday of May, when the fully flooded Kinshuko is covered in fresh greenery. The 30 km and half racers will start with the signal gun, and 5 minutes later the 10 km race will start. The warm support from the townspeople has been well-received, and the event has become popular as the Fureai Marathon. The Kinshu Lake Water Festival is held the day before, and you can enjoy fireworks.
