The Sasaki Kizen Festival is held from the anniversary of his death to his birthday, and is a memorial event for Kizen Sasaki, who was the author of "Tono Monogatari" published in 1909 by Kunio Yanagida, and was born in Tsuchibuchi Village, Iwate Prefecture (currently Tsuchibuchi Town, Tono City). The achievements are conveyed through the presentation of folk tales.
