Peach Festival Japanese Art Exhibition Tsurushi Hina Festival (Ninohe City)

 

  • Period: March 3 (Tue.) – March 8 (Sun.) 10:00 – 17:00 (16:00 on the last day)

  • Features: An exhibition featuring hanging dolls painstakingly created by members of the local Hina no Kai. A variety of colorful works are on display all at once.

Machinaka Hinamatsuri (Kuzumaki Town)

  • Period: March 1 (Sun.) – March 3 (Tue.) 10:00 – 16:00 *Close at 15:00 on March 3
  • Location: Kuzumaki Town Complex “Kuzumaru

  • Features: Hina dolls, hanging decorations, and handmade dolls collected from around the town are displayed in bright colors.

Nanshosou Doll’s Festival (Morioka City)

  • Period: February 6 (Fri.) – March 3 (Tue.) 10:00 – 16:00 / closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Location: Nanshosou, Morioka City

  • Features: Enjoy the Doll’s Festival in a historic mansion built in the Meiji period. It is decorated with about 40 sets of dolls borrowed from 20 people inside and outside the prefecture.

Hina play at the Ichinokura residence (Morioka City)

  • Period: February 4 (Wed.) – March 4 (Wed.) 10:00 – 16:00 Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

Morioka City Ancestor Memorial Hall Hina Doll Exhibition (Morioka City)

  • Period: February 28 (Sat) – April 19 (Sun), scheduled 9:00 – 17:00 (last admission 16:30) / closed on Mondays and the last Tuesday of each month (or the following weekday if Monday is a national holiday)
  • Location: Morioka City Ancestor Memorial Hall 1st floor seasonal exhibition corner

Morioka Machiya Lunar Calendar Doll’s Festival (Morioka City)

  • Period: April 11 (Sat.) – April 12 (Sun.)
  • Location: Morioka City, Katayacho/Dajijicho area

  • Features: Hina dolls will be exhibited to the public at an exhibition venue in the Hataya-cho area, where the atmosphere of a castle town remains. We are also planning to hold events during this period.

Ancient Hinamatsuri Exhibition (Morioka City)

  • Period: February 1 (Sun.) – March 9 (Sun.) 9:00 – 16:00
  • Location: Shiba Castle Ancient Park, Morioka City

  • Features: A gorgeous and cute shellfish doll made of clams and other clams covered with kimono fabric.

Shiwa Hinamatsuri (Shiwa Town) *Not yet determined for FY2026.

  • Period: April 13th (Sat) – April 14th (Sun) 10:00 – 16:00
  • Location: Shiwa Town Hizume Shopping Street, Hizume Hirai Residence, etc.

  • Features: Hanging Hina dolls and Hina dolls will be displayed throughout the shopping district and at the Hizume Hirai House. You can also enjoy meals and events related to the Doll’s Festival and spring.

Hina Doll Exhibition Hanamaki Spring Peach Festival (Hanamaki City)

  • Period: January 24 (Sat.) – April 3 (Tue.) 8:30 – 16:30 / No closing days during the period
  • Location: Hanamaki Nitobe Memorial Hall, Hanamaki City

Hanamaki Onsenkyo Doll’s Festival (Hanamaki City)

  • Period: Saturday, February 21 – Tuesday, March 3

  • Features: Based on the concept of “relaxingly enjoying the Doll’s Festival in a hot spring,” each inn offers original doll decorations and special benefits for guests.

Doll Festival at Ohasama Post Station (Hanamaki City)

  • Period: February 21 (Sat.) – March 3 (Tue.) 9:00 – 16:00
  • Location: Hanamaki City Osako Exchange Activation Center (main venue), Osako town shops, etc.

  • Features: The center of Osako-cho, which was a post town on the highway, still has many Kyoto hina dolls from the Edo period. During the period, various events will be held.

Tono Machiya Doll’s Festival (Tono City)

  • Period: Friday, February 20 – Thursday, March 5
  • Location: Shopping streets, etc. around JR Tono Station

  • Features: We will recreate the custom of walking around looking at Hina dolls, which has been passed down from generation to generation in “Machiya”.

Oshu Mizusawa Kukuri Doll Festival (Mizusawa, Oshu City)

  • Location: Special venue on the 1st floor of Maple East Wing, Oshu City; Samurai Residence Museum, Oshu City; Event hall on the 2nd floor of Mizusawa Tourism and Products Center, Mizusawa City

  • Features: We will exhibit traditional elegant kukuri dolls from the Mizusawa region, made using the oshie technique.

Senmaya Doll’s Festival (Senmaya-cho, Ichinoseki City)

  • Location: Ichinoseki City Senmaya Sake no Kura Exchange Facility, Former Nagasawa Clock Store, Senmaya Shopping District, etc.

  • Features: The main venue is the Senmaya Sake no Kura Exchange Facility, which has a Taisho-roman feel to it, and various places in the town are decorated with Hina dolls and hanging Hina dolls to create a gorgeous display. Events such as marches and concerts will also be held during the period.

Looking for Showa Memories Miyako Doll’s Festival (Miyako City)

  • Feature: The central city area of Miyako is decorated with “Ohinasama” and “Tsurushibina” to entertain visitors. Visitors will receive gifts such as hina-arare, and events such as concerts are also planned.
