Treasure of the Forest Matsutake Mushroom Sake

Iwaizumi Town, Iwate Prefecture, the Kingdom of the Forest, is the city that declares itself the best in oxygen. Iwaizumi Matsutake Mushroom Sake, Mori no Takara, was researched and developed by the Iwaizumi Matsutake Business Cooperative Association in this town. This sake is rich in natural flavor and is made from sake (water from Ryusendo Cave underground lake) and matsutake mushrooms grown in Iwaizumi.

"Goya", which serves Iwaizumi's seasonal ingredients at restaurants and accommodations in the town, has opened. Meals using local ingredients from spring, summer, fall and winter. In autumn, you can enjoy dishes centered around locally grown Matsutake mushrooms.

Shorthorn beef raised freely on large pastures is a healthy beef with low fat and a high red color. The ``Iwaizumi Teishoku'', which mainly consists of tender braised beef, is a popular dish. In addition, the noodles of ``Acorn Ramen'', which can only be tasted here, are made using wheat flour from Iwate Prefecture and special acorn flour.
