Acorns have been eaten since the Jomon period. "Donguri Ramen" is made by removing the lye from acorn flour produced in the town and mixing it with the ingredients for Chinese noodles, and is characterized by its firmness and smooth texture. Hitsumi and tofu dengaku are also available.

Hama no Eki Omoto Aidokan

Opened on September 3, 2017. "Aidokan" means "Let's go together" in the Iwaizumi dialect. Located right next to Omoto Fishing Port, there is also a restaurant that is popular for its direct-from-the-farm specialties such as salmon and vegetables, as well as menus using local ingredients.

Based on Iwaizumi's local food, we offer five types of ``Yakuju Gozen'' menus that you can choose according to your physical condition. The summer menu ``Kiri'' includes 9 dishes that improve liver function, with the main dish being seared Iwaizumi Tankaku beef with medicinal sauce. In addition to the ``Yakuju Gozen'' menu, there are also individual items on the menu.
