The scenic beauty of Geibikei Gorge, where I work, is located in Higashiyama-cho, Ichinoseki City, southern Iwate Prefecture. It has been designated as a national scenic spot, and you can enjoy the different seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter while boating. In the same town, there is “Yugen Cave,” which is a limestone cave and one of Japan’s leading meccas for fossils, and the “Former Tohoku Crushed Stone Factory,” where Kenji Miyazawa was invited as an engineer.
The Geibi Tourist Center is a boat-hopping tourism business that takes boats to and from Geibikei Gorge. The journey time is approximately 90 minutes round trip. It is a scenic spot that is listed as one of Japan’s 100 Views and Japan’s Three Great Gorges, and where you can enjoy a boat ride guided by a boatman. The boatman sings “Geibi Oiwake” as he goes down the boat, which is also very atmospheric. We look forward to seeing you there.
Although I have been working in customer service for 20 years, I will never forget my original intention and will continue to provide the best guidance to our customers.
