My Recommendations for Local Attractions and Must-See Local Tourism Information

Introducing the “Sake Brewery Community Center”.
On January 31, 2003, a total of 25 properties, including 13 such as Yokoya Sake Brewery’s sake brewery and 12 such as the main building of the Sato family, were registered as national tangible cultural properties.
Yokoya Sake Brewery was founded in the first year of the Taisho era, and the building reflects the wishes of the head of the family and is luxurious to the fullest. The site is approximately 9,000 square meters, and the brewing, sales, and residential areas are located within this area. The building known as the main building/Western building is said to have been designed by architect Yusuke Ohara, a student of the Western-style architect who designed Tokyo Station. The sake brewery is a sight to behold, but the main building and Western-style building also have a sense of the romance of the original owner.

Affiliated Organizations, Introduction of Organizations

In September 1999, the Senmaya Town Women’s Group Liaison Council was formed by five women’s groups and was established to improve the status of women, provide training, and contribute to the development of the region. As a specialized division, we have established “Senmaya Gogai Stars,” a group of volunteer guides who aim to guide visitors to Senmaya’s unique sightseeing experience. We also travel to events (entertainment demonstrations). We will be performing Meoto Ishi Oikoto Dance (about 5 people) and Atago Hana Sumo (40 people in total).

Short Message

Senmaya-cho has become the place where I have lived the longest time. It’s not very glamorous, but there are small historical facts and legends all over the place, which I’m currently studying. As a hobby, I like wearing Japanese clothes, so I dabble in Japanese dance.
