Roadside station “Yamabikokan”

The ``Roadside Station'' Yamabiko-kan has a direct-from-the-farm corner selling local specialties, a restaurant called ``Momo-tei'' that serves menus made with local ingredients, a local food corner, and specialties from not only the local area but also the surrounding area. It is a hub for a wide range of food, including a corner where food is sold. In addition, at the adjacent farm direct store, fresh vegetables and seasonal wild vegetables delivered daily by local farmers are popular.

Hottoyuda [Kawajiri Onsen] (Day trip bathing facility)

Yuda Onsenkyo is blessed with abundant hot spring resources and beautiful natural scenery. As the gateway, there is a station building with a hot spring called Hottoyuda. This facility, which is rare even in Japan, is a rustic building that takes advantage of the wooden feel, and is unique with a clock tower on a tongari roof and decorations that resemble the town's bird, the ``Yamadori.''

Roadside station “Taneyamagahara Poran”

Taneyamagahara, also called Mt. Mt. Mt. Miyazawa, is a plateau that Kenji Miyazawa loved very much. Kenji wrote ``Night on the Galactic Railway'' and ``Kaze no Matasaburo'', as well as many poems and tanka, based on the scenery and weather here. Roadside Station Taneyamagahara Poran is located near the entrance to Taneyamagahara, which is located at a relay point on National Route 397 that connects the southern part of the prefecture with the coast. The rest facility "Poran" is designed to resemble a star, and was built by Kesen carpenters who are proud of their traditional skills using wood sourced within the town. It is a great place to find souvenirs, with a variety of specialty products grown in the rich natural environment.

Suna Yukko [Tsukizawa Onsen] (Day trip bathing facility)

"Sunayukko" is a wooden building with a tongari roof and wooden walls that blend in with the mountain surroundings. This is the first sand bath in Tohoku. Heat natural silica sand produced in the town with hot spring water, and bury yourself completely in it to warm your body. There is also a large bath and a rest room.

Roadside station “Tono Kaze no Oka”

A driving break spot with an impressive windmill. In addition to tourist information and road information at the information desk, there is also a product hall selling Tono's agricultural products directly, a restaurant, and public toilets. The restaurant serves local Tono dishes such as Hittsumi and Kurotsubo Kabusoba.
