    The current president of the association was inspired to start manufacturing the cheese after traveling alone around the country and seeing a cheese feast at a certain church. In 1972, we began producing cheese on our own, and in 1990, we began full-scale production with the establishment of the Osako Cheese Processing and Production Association. This authentic handmade cheese is made using raw Brown Swiss milk, and was even featured as an ingredient on a cooking program on a commercial TV station. It is mainly sold in the town and neighboring municipalities. It is also possible to order online.
