The roadside station "Iwate Kita-Sanriku" opened in April 2023 as an exchange base facility that connects the "sea, mountains, village, and people" of Kita-Sanriku.
There is a merchandise corner with fresh local products from Kita-Sanriku (Hirono Town, Kuji City, Fudai Village, Noda Village), a kids space where children can have fun, and a food and beverage corner.
In addition, ``Ishitsubute Park'' will be opened outdoors, where Tohoku's first Pokémon playground equipment will be installed.
There is also a gas station attached, making it a convenient and enjoyable place to stop during your drive.
