Yumoto Onsen

The oldest hot spring town in Yuda Onsenkyo, known as the place where Masaoka Shiki stayed. It is a bitter sodium sulfate spring that gushes out on the left bank of the Waga River, 4km north of Hottoyuda Station. The word ``Yuda'' comes from the expression ``a place where hot water gushes out from inside the rice fields,'' which was used in the Kanbun era (around 1661-1673), and this refers to the current Yumoto Onsen.

Plateau Ryokan Oogi [Sugo Onsen]

One of the Sugo hot springs located on National Route 107 at the prefectural border of Iwate and Akita. The hot springs are unique in that they are simple sulfur springs, and are effective against chronic skin diseases, chronic women's diseases, cuts, etc. We offer Nishiwaga beef steak and soft-shelled turtle dishes.
