Kanaya Onsen Hotel Ginga Park Hanamaki

This hot spring is located in the Hanamaki Prefectural Wide-Area Park and is a public lodging. Visitors can enjoy the pleasant feeling of the hot spring and seasonal Japanese cuisine prepared with local ingredients. As it is located within the park, it is equipped with a tennis court and a golf course in addition to an athletic field.

Shidodaira Onsen

According to one theory, the discovery of Shidodaira Hot Spring is said to have originated in the Enryaku era (late 8th century), when a soldier was hit by a bandit's arrow during the conquest of the East by Sakagami Tamuramaro, and his wound was cured after soaking it in this hot spring. Today, there is a hotel reminiscent of a large scale spa resort, complete with the famous Senninburo (one thousand person bath) and private open-air baths. The hot spring is effective for rheumatism, neuralgia, gastrointestinal disorders, skin diseases, and women's diseases.

The open-air garden bath "Hanamaki Manten-no-yu" (closed during winter) and the bedrock open-air bath offer a rich natural setting in which you can relax and unwind. Guests can enjoy the large baths and open-air baths of the adjacent Hotel Momiji-kan and Hotel Senjyukaku, as well as private hot spring baths and amusements for the whole family to enjoy.
