On October 18, 1603, during the construction of Morioka Castle, Lord Toshinao Nambu stayed at our ancestor's Anrakubou and gave his approval to order us to be the guardian of the hot spring. Hotel Taikan changed its name to "Yumori Hotel Taikan" and will continue to protect this famous hot spring.
The hot spring baths boast the best view and are the largest in the area. The baths, which include an open-air bath and an ancient hinoki cypress bath, are filled with hot water from the "Taikan-no-yu" hot spring, which opened in March 2008 and is 100% free-flowing. Please enjoy the soft water, which is reputed to be effective for beautiful skin.
