This is a typical straight-style private house that divides the style of private houses in the Tohoku region into two, along with the curved houses in the south, and is estimated to have been built between the Genroku and Hoei years (1688-1711). (National/Important Cultural Property)
Reservations are required to tour inside.

Omonomi Park

This is the castle ruins of the lord of Maezawa Castle, and the row of approximately 200 cherry trees that are over 60 years old has become a famous spot representing the southern part of the prefecture. Additionally, there are many large trees along the 800m stretch of road that climbs from the bottom of the park to the entrance, making it feel like a tunnel of cherry blossoms. From mid-April to early May, the park will be illuminated with 250 paper lanterns and lighting.

Yumenohashi

A bridge that connects Mukoyama Park, a famous spot for cherry blossoms, and Tateyama Historical Park, which is associated with the Oshu Fujiwara clan. From the top of the bridge, you can see the Taneyama Plateau to the east, the city area to the west, and the mountains of the Yakeishi Mountain Range below.
