A dam lake whose construction began in 1942 as a water source for farmland and was completed in 1961. You can also tour the dam facilities by making a reservation in advance.

Hu Siwang Mountain

Since Kenji Miyazawa wrote in his notebook that this mountain is ``the mountain where you should bury your sutras,'' the Kenji Memorial Hall and Ihatov Hall were built on the same site, which is one of the mountains with which Kenji has the deepest connection. Kenji wrote a poem about Hu Shiwang, and also mentioned Mt. Hu Shiwang in his unfinished literary poem ``The Hill.''

Hayachine Dam

It is a prefectural multipurpose dam completed in 2000. The dam, which was named "Hayachine Lake" after many public applications, has a roadside station "Hayachine" attached to it, as well as a water and green contact park and the Yamamura Cultural Exchange Center nearby. There is a ``Friendship Bell'' donated by the Friendship City of Austria, and it is crowded with families, young people, and groups returning from mountain climbing.
