The vast Hiraniwa Plateau, located 800 meters above sea level, is a scenic place designated as a prefectural natural park.
Starting with spring's emissaries, katakuris (dogtooth violet) and other marshland plants, followed by the dazzling green of the birch forests in early summer, the azaleas blooming all over the plateau, the autumn leaves in fall, and skiing in winter, this is a field where one can enjoy nature to the fullest throughout the year.
