Shinbori Castle Ruins

On a small mountain with an altitude of 184m. It is said to be a valuable mountain castle ruin because it was built in a stepped manner and has a dry moat. In the Middle Ages, it was the residence of the Niibori clan, a family of the Hidenuki clan.

Kasuga style Hachiman deer dance

You can see it at the Yahata Shrine annual festival and Kochi Kumano Shrine annual festival. This deer dance, which prays for peace in the world, the fulfillment of five crops, and happiness for all people, was transmitted from Towa Town (formerly Ochiai Village). It is considered to be the northern limit of Taiko-style deer dance. There are a wide variety of events, including the first garden, scarecrow dance, robami dance, and gun dance.

Narushima Washi Crafts Museum

The Narushima Washi Crafts Museum is a production base for Narushima Washi, the northernmost Japanese paper in Japan, and a facility for experiencing paper making. Everything about Narushima Washi is concentrated in the museum, and you can experience the culture of Washi that has been handed down since ancient times in Japan.
