Mayu Craft creates seasonal items by beautifully dyeing cocoon balls. There is a panel display of materials related to sericulture in Iwate. In addition to displaying materials about Iwate's sericulture on panels, you can also see prize-winning works from national cocoon craft contests, bouquets, wreaths, hina dolls, and other works that take advantage of cocoon's characteristics. At the trial class, you can easily experience the fun of eyebrow crafting.

Among the bridges built over the Nakatsugawa River that runs through the center of Morioka City, Nakano Bridge is an important bridge that connects the shopping district and the government district. The current bridge is a steel bridge built in 1955 and has a total length of 54m. In autumn, you can see salmon swimming upstream.

Nagai’s Dainenbutsu sword dance

Nagai's Dai-Nenbutsu Kembu, which has been passed down in the Nagai district of Morioka City for about 220 years, is a type of ``Kuyo-Nenbutsu'' to commemorate one's ancestors, and is performed by wearing an ``Ogasa'' with a pagoda placed in the center of a large circular platform on their head. It is characterized by ``Kasaburi,'' which is a dance performed by shaking it loudly. In 1981, it was designated as a nationally designated important intangible folk cultural property.
