Takuboku Ishikawa

A poet and poet from Morioka City (formerly Shibumin Village). In 1901, he published a collection of poems ``Akogare'' under the name ``Takuboku''. In 1901, he published his first collection of three-line tanka poems, ``A Handful of Sand''. Although he was acclaimed as a lifestyle-oriented poet, due to poverty and illness, he passed away at the age of 26 without returning to his hometown.

Urumi crafts

The tools used to make lacquerware, such as the lacquer bucket that collects lacquer sap, the feather that removes dust, the tools used for decoration, and the brush that applies lacquer, are on display, as well as the process of making a teapot stand. The master who has been in this business for over 40 years is a traditional craftsman of Joboji lacquerware, which is designated as a national traditional craft. Lacquerware made from natural materials has a pleasant texture. You can taste the real goodness.

Ihatobu Avenue Zaimokucho

"Ihatobu Avenue" refers to Zaimokucho's main street, Zaimokucho Street. It is a place where you can enjoy the fantastical world of Kenji at Kogensha, which has a deep connection to Kenji, and six monuments with motifs of light and music. Near the entrance is the sculpture ``Ishiza'' depicting Kenji resting in a stone quarry, the ``Constellation'' which is inspired by the galaxy with dim lights flashing at night, and the ``Star Tour Song'' composed by Kenji from a cello object. ``On-za'' where you can hear the sound of the sound, ``Kinu-za'' with a motif of the Silk Road that Kenji admired, ``Hanaza'' with the image of a flower bed designed by Kenji, and ``Shiza'' with a ceramic board inscribed with tanka poems written by Kenji. . Each of the monuments tells the story of nature's small life forms, and conveys Kenji's message of compassion.
