Numamiyauchi Koma Dance

The Koma-dori in Numamiya was completed in around 1935 by Mr. Heiichiro Shibata and others who made slight changes to the existing one in Toyama, Tamayama Village, Iwate District, under the guidance of Mr. Kamejiro Kudo of Toyama. There are 7 boys aged 14.5 who will play the pieces, 1 Umako (adult), 2 Sasara (boys), and the musicians are 2 or 3 drums, 2 gongs, and 3 or 4 flute players. . Imamatsu pit dwelling ruins

Remains of a residence from the late Nara period. It was found that they already ate rice as their staple food and used iron tools, and many grave goods were unearthed from the ruins of their dwellings. A historic site designated by Iwate Prefecture .

Kawaguchi fox dance

The Kawaguchi Fox Dance is also called Inari Kagura, and the fox symbolizes the use of Inari Daimyojin. It is said that when Inari Shrine was relocated from the Kawaguchi Castle ruins to its current location, a fox dance was also performed, and Kanjiro Segawa completed the process during the Meiji period. The dancers are boys from 12 or 3 years old to around 20 years old. The music consists of 2 to 4 people playing drums, 2 or more people playing flutes, and 2 or more people playing handguns.The drums are danced with the fox.
