A hot spring developed in 1923 by drawing water from Dai Onsen. It has an elegant and calm atmosphere, with rows of cherry blossom trees, red pine forests, and a rose garden with a sundial flower bed designed by Kenji Miyazawa. It is known throughout the country as a hot spring resort in northern Tohoku. The hot springs are effective against rheumatism, neuralgia, etc.

Ishidoriya History and Folklore Museum

It houses sake brewing tools that tell the story of the history of sake brewing in the south, and introduces the sake brewing process. 1,788 of the sake brewing tools have been designated as important cultural properties of the country. Also on display are Jomon pottery excavated from within the town, clay bear figurines that are rare in Japan, ancient documents such as umbrella-shaped complaints, and personal accessories that reflect that era. We also exhibit sake vessels from Japan and around the world.
